SEND
At Worksop Priory C of E Academy, the staff and governors are fully committed to inclusion. We work hard to provide a high quality education for all our pupils, some of whom may need something additional to or different from the majority, in order for them to flourish and succeed.
The four broad areas of need are:
- communication and interaction
- cognition and learning
- social, emotional and mental health
- sensory and/or physical
Our staff team is well trained and highly skilled in developing and adapting provision to meet the needs of individual children. Alongside quality first teaching in the classroom, provision may include specific intervention programmes and individualised planning. Support may include academic catch up programmes, speech and language work, emotional and well being support, nurture support, personalised timetables and specific resources etc. We access advice and face to face support from external agencies and liaise fully with parents/carers to ensure that provision fully meets the needs of the pupils in our setting.
